Ernst Walch

Dr. Ernst Walch studied law and earned his doctorate in 1980 from the University of Innsbruck. He attended the New York University School of Law for his postgraduate studies and completed a Master of Comparative Jurisprudence in 1981. With this education, he was accepted into both the New York and the Liechtenstein Bar in 1983 and 1984, respectively.

At the start of his career, Dr. Ernst Walch worked in New York and then Liechtenstein for several years before founding one of the most prestigious law firms and a reputable fiduciary firm in Liechtenstein in 1990. He also served in distinguished public offices in Liechtenstein, notably as President of the Liechtenstein Parliament (1993) and Minister of Foreign Affairs (2001-2005).

Since 2020 Dr. Walch is a member of the board of trustees of Tower Trust Company reg. In 2020 he passed the Liechtenstein notary examination. Dr. Walch’s expertise includes foundation and trust law, asset protection, complex litigation and arbitration in addition to estate planning and corporate law.
